Firstly this recipe is not original, I have stolen it from a local Italian restaurant in Brighton, Al Caminetto. I also can't remember the name but it was Carcciofini something or other. I have re-created the dish as closely as I could. Dressing 1/4 cup Virgin Olive Oil 2 cloves Crushed Garlic 2 teaspoons Mixed Herbs a dash Red Wine Vinegar Ground Black Pepper to taste Place artichoke hearts on a bed of lettuce, pour over dressing. Leave to marinade for at least an hour. That's all there is to it! Another favourite of mine (also made at the above restaurant) is artichoke Pizza (known as Pizza Al Caminetto), just place halved artichokes on your pizza base, also add some pimentoes.
