Here's a very quick and easy recipe for an "all in one" artichoke pasta: 200g wholemeal pasta shells sufficient water to cover 5 cloves garlic 3 tbsp yeast flakes 1 can artichoke hearts 1 cup soya milk 1 tsp salt 2 tsp pepper Place the pasta shells in a saucepan and fill with water to just cover the pasta. Do *not* allow as much water as per the instructions on the packet. Open the can of artichoke hearts and pour the liquid into the saucepan. Cook the pasta for five minutes, stirring regularly, then add the artichoke hearts (halved) and cook for two minutes more. Add the crushed cloves of garlic, the salt and pepper and the yeast flakes. By now the pasta should have absorbed a lot of the water and the remaining water will have become starchy thick. Add sufficient soya milk to make a creamy sauce. Check the pasta is now cooked, leaving it for a minute or two more if necessary.
